ICE's new cryptocurrency platform will initially be used for trading and conversion of bitcoin versus fiat currencies, Atlanta-based ICE said. Crypto Bakkt platform has been bolstered with a $300 million Series B round of funding from the ICE, the parent compnay of the NYSE as well. The Intercontinental Exchange's Bakkt platform has officially confirmed its forthcoming launch of a cash-settled Bitcoin futures contract.
