Where can I find my Ledger wallet address?
Finding Your Ledger Wallet Address With Ledger Live
So you’ve installed Ledger Live. Awesome! This is by far the best way to manage your crypto assets with the Ledger Nano S and Ledger Nano X.
But now you need your incoming address so you can buy some crypto.
We’ve got this!
Firstly, connect your Ledger hardware wallet to your computer with the USB cable provided and enter your
PIN code. Of course with Ledger Live open.
Once you’ve successfully connected to Ledger Live you will see the following screen.
From here, it’s super easy! To the left, you will see the menu bar. Simply click on ‘receive’ as
shown below.
You’ll then be presented with the option to choose which preset wallet you would like to receive
funds to.
While it’s likely if you choose the wrong wallet address the transaction will fail, please ensure you
do choose the correct one. This is especially important with ETH/ERC20 addresses.
Today, I’m getting some Bitcoin. So I’m going to click on my BTC account (I have named mine BTC Main) to find my bitcoin wallet address.
From above you can see you’re going to need to ensure your Ledger is connected to your
computer and that you are on the Bitcoin app – hit the comments section if you want a hand with
that as well.
As you can see, we’re good.
Next, you’re going to see this screen. MAKE SURE that the address scrolling across the screen of
your Ledger matches the one you see on your screen.
Hot tip, go for the first 4 characters and the last 4 characters. If they match, we’re generally good
to go.
Once you’re happy, click continue.
And that’s it. We’re here!
You can use the QR code to scan your address to someone else or copy/paste the address into
the BitPrime site to buy Bitcoinor most other cryptocurrencies right now.
Please remember to ALWAYS copy/paste your address and NEVER try typing it out from memory.

Has your receiving address changed?
If you’ve noticed that your Ledger wallet address has changed since the last time you looked, don’t worry! If the address is a bitcoin or bitcoin network-related one such as Litecoin, your receiving address changes after each deposit to your wallet. This change is because your wallet is what is known as a hierarchical deterministic (HD) wallet.
HD wallets have an xpub (extended public key) which generates multiple different public addresses that all link back to the same original xpub. These changing addresses are a way of further enhancing your privacy as no one can take one single HD wallet address and view your entire crypto balance in a blockchain explorer.
