Bitcoin sportsmania

Seems to be imploding.

The owners have made the ridiculous decision to charge subscription via bitcoin only and have jacked up the prices and only offer 1 month packages.

Anyone know of any good alternatives?

My sub ran out a month or two ago and the streams were being bollocks so I was pretty glad to get rid. Seems like it was perfect timing really, you can tell they must be running scared now.

Have you moved onto anything else perchance?

Their streams have been fine for me, but that might be because I use a VPN. I didn't know that about the subscription though. If they're only offering a month at a time, that's a worry as I'm signed up til April and then taking it month by month doesn't sound very long term.

The major annoyance I've had recently is that they deactivated the Facebook page and went forum only. Cannot be bothered with that s***.

Yeah their streams are perfectly fine when you use a VPN which is one thing and why it's so annoying cause I never have problems.

But yeah, at the minute they have scrapped any packages longer than a month. They kept the monthly price at £12 a month which is a joke when I bought the 6 month package before for £24. They removed all payment options through card or paypal and it can only be done by doing a convoluted process through bitcoin.

The forum is fine but they are so defensive it is unreal. You ask why something is happening and the admins go nuts.

I said mine hadn't been great and was instantly inundated with people telling me to f*** off to Sky and the admins jumped on me about how cheap it is etc.

I think they are running scared and paranoid though. The Bitcoin thing is quite funny. It's a shame, really.

Yeah that was on the Facebook page probably when they had thousands of people. Now if you say the service is a load of balls on the forum, from the fee people left most are likely to agree with you such is the level of animosity to them.

The owner has done a runner and all the admins refuse to admit it and keep saying "the payment system will be changed in a month or so" but no one believes them since they have been claiming since August that they were fixing the need to use a vpn to watch sky.

I bring it up.often. A multisat system connected to a decent cardsharing server. Sky have managed to stop their channels being on them for now, but the rest of the packages receivable here haven't, including BT Sport.

Ive been told ace is pretty good. Reliable and they give a reasonably high bitrate 1080p. You may well still need a VPN to get around the UK ISP blocks though.

Heard smoothstreams has gone downhill in recent months, and epic is now better for US sports.
